On May 9th, Arbor West Neighbors and 19th Century Charitable Association in Oak Park brought together experts to talk about the importance of independent local media in our lives.
The panel included Monica Eng of Axios Chicago and formerly Tribune and WBEZ, investigative reporter Manny Ramos of Block Club Chicago, gerontologist and educator Lydia Manning, Ph.D., and Max Reinsdorf, general manager of NEWSWELL Chicago, publisher of Oak Park/River Forest Wednesday Journal and others. Charlie Meyerson, publisher of Chicago Public Square and veteran newsman of WXRT, WNUA and more, moderated the panel.
NOW you’re invited to view the professionally recorded video and join Charlie, Max and Lydia for a group discussion on the importance of trust and truth in our media today.
Watch the video at your leisure (it’s over an hour) and join the discussion with your questions and thoughts. Register for the ZOOM link.
